Lyricist Vivek writes all the songs in Vijay's Mersal

In Tamil films these days, the songs are written by not one but a few lyricists. In that manner, more people get the chance to be a part of a film. But, it looks like lyricist Vivek who is known for his line Poo Avizhum Pozhudhu from Enakkul Oruvan, has written all the songs in Vijay’s upcoming, most anticipated film Mersal.

Updating this, Vivek took to Twitter to say, “Penning al d songs in #Mersal. Heard only 2 r 3 lyricist had dat privilege in ARR sir Tamil album.Humbled.BigTnx 2 Sir,Vijay sir n Atlee bro. Spl Tnx 2 our prod @ThenandalFilms. @arrahman sir n atlee bro supported me n believed in my abilities right from d start. I owe them a lot”.

AR Rahman is composing the music for Mersal whose songs would be launched on the 20th of August in a grand function. Apparently, only a few lyricists had the privilege to write all the songs in an album that is scored by Rahman and Vivek is one of the few fortunate ones. Click the Movie button below for more info:
