Legal hurdles cleared, Lingaa opens to record screens

Superstar Rajinikanth celebrates his birthday today and his film Lingaa hit the screens today, the 12th of December. The response as soon as the bookings opened was nothing short of overwhelming. Seats were all booked and the entire week is totally blocked.

Revealing the screen count for Lingaa, Soundarya Ashwin on behalf of Eros International had tweeted the following- Tamil Nadu - 600 plus, Andhra Pradesh – 750 plus, Kerala – 250 plus, North India – 375 plus, Overseas – 1000 plus, Karnataka – 200 plus totaling it to more than 3000 which is huge by any standard.

Meanwhile the plagiarism case filed against Lingaa had come to a conclusion with the judge ordering the producer Rockline Venkatesh to deposit ten crores by 12 noon today (12th December) and Venkatesh had also agreed to pay the amount which had facilitated a smooth release of the film.
