Karthik-Thiru film titled as Mr Chandramouli

Director Thiru made a casting coup of sorts when he brought on board Navarasa Nayagan Karthik and his son Gautham Karthik for a film. This venture is produced by Dhananjayan. Regina Cassandra, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and Satish are the other actors who are announced in this venture.

Yesterday, the 9th October, the title of this film was announced by Sivakarthikeyan as Mr. Chandramouli. He tweeted, “Happy to announce this title of d movie in which Evercharming @ArtisteKarthik sir & @Gautham_Karthik bro acting together Wishes to @dir_thiru Bro @actorsathish @ReginaCassandra @Dhananjayang sir @varusarath & full team #MrChandramouli”. For all those movie buffs, the name Mr. Chandramouli brings back immediate memories of the scene in Mani Ratnam’s Mouna Ragam when Karthik jocularly calls for Revathi’s dad Chandramouli in a café.

Interestingly directors J Mahendran and Agathiyan are also playing key roles in Mr. Chandramouli. Agathiyan plays Karthik’s friend in the film and incidentally, he is also the father-in-law of director Thiru. With such an interesting cast and the title, Mr. Chandramouli has garnered all attention now.
