Kani Kusruti bags lead role in ‘Girls will be Girls'

Malayalam actress Kani Kusruti will be seen in the lead role in director Shuchi Talati’s upcoming Hindi film ‘Girls will be Girls,’ which will start rolling in Uttarakhand. The film is the maiden production venture of actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal.

The film also marks the debut Hindi film of the Malayalam actress. The story is set in a boarding school in a small town in the Himalayan foothills and follows a 16-year-old Mira, whose rebellious coming of age is hijacked by her mother.

The film has won the Arte Kino prize and the VFF Talent Highlights Award at the Berlinale Co-Production Market. It is an Indo-French co-production being jointly produced by Pushing Buttons Studios, Crawling Angel Films and French company Dolce Vita Films. Click the Movie button below for more info:
