Kamal wraps Papanasam

Papanasam, the Tamil remake of the Malayalam superhit Dhrishyam has been wrapped up. The film directed by Jeetu Joseph was being shot in Thodupuzha in Kerala where the original version was also shot.

Papanasam features Kamal Haasan, Gauthami, Nivedha Thomas, Kalabhavan Mani, Asha Sarath and many others. Cinematography is by Sujith Vasudev and music is by Ghibran. Dhrishyam is about a devout father who is not much educated but goes to any length to save his family.

It has been reported that the film was shot in thirty nine days and it goes into post production work now. Kamal was also reportedly sick during the shoot but he sprang back to action soon. It has to be remembered that Kamal’s other films Viswaroopam 2 and Uthama Villain are also in post-production stages now and the release dates are eagerly awaited by fans.
