Kamal states that he will not act in films any more

Ulganayagan Kamal Haasan was recently in the news for having visited the USA and meeting a lot of professionals from Harvard for discussing developmental plans for Tamil Nadu. He had also mentioned that he would not align with his friend Rajinikanth if the latter decides to join hands with the BJP.

Post this, once he landed in Chennai, he met the press at his Alwarpet residence and to a query on whether he would continue to act in films, after his entry into politics, the Uthamavillain hero answered in negative. He stated that after he completes his current films, he would not do any more films. This surely has come as a big shock to his fans.

As regards his film commitments, he is almost done with Vishwaroopam 2 and the film should be ready for release. Sabash Naidu, which began as a bilingual is 40% complete and the unit has to complete rest of the shooting. He has also committed to doing Indian 2 with director Shankar. We will have to wait and see the status of these films.
