Kalyani Priyadarshan joins ‘Genie' cast

Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan has been the latest addition to the ensemble cast of the film ‘Genie,’ featuring Jayam Ravi as the hero. Kalyani shared her excitement for being roped in the film through her Twitter page.

She tweeted: “Super excited for my next in Tamil! I know it’s been a bit of a wait for you guys but I feel in my heart this will be worth it! Hope we have everyone’s blessings. #Genie is a film that seems to be making all my wishes come true at the same time! An incredibly interesting script, a role that gives me so much scope to perform, a huge casting coup , a director as crazy and passionate as I am, a producer who goes all in… and … AR Rahman sir.”

The film, which is produced by Dr Ishari K Ganesh and directed by Arjunan Jr., also stars Krithi Shetty and Wamiqa Gabbi in prominent roles. It has music by AR Rahman and cinematography by Mahesh Muthuswami. Pradeep E Ragav is in charge of editing while Umesh J Kumar is taking care of the art department.
