"Kabali" The movie was released in over 4500 screens worldwide in three versions (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi) on Friday, July 22. The advance booking for tickets in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and some foreign countries was met with huge success, hinting that the film will witness an earth-shattering business at the box office on the first day.

The trade experts have predict that the Rajinikanth-starrer would become the biggest opener in overseas and it is likely to beat the records of Bollywood films like "Dilwale" ($3.4 million), "Dhoom 3" ($3.3 million) and "Sultan" ($3.04 million).



The early estimation coming from the industry says "Kabali" has grossed over Rs. 40 crore worldwide. The makers are yet to formally confirm the news and if it turns out to be true, then it will be the highest ever figure for a Rajinikanth film as his previous movie had raked in Rs. 37 crore. "Kabali" has also done earth-shattering business in the U.S. and France.

"Kabali" is made on a budget of Rs. 100 crore and the movie has earned about Rs. 225 crore from the sales of theatrical, audio, satellite rights and through various deals.



Meanwhile, "Kabali" has opened to mixed reviews. The next few days will be crucial for the film"s success at the box office.
