New Delhi, Aug 7 (IANS) Enthralling, engaging and exciting are the words that best define the maiden staging of "Jungle Book Jive" in the capital. The 80-minute musical entertainment show featuring Mowgli, Bagheera and Sher Khan thoroughly entertained children and adults alike.

The five-day event started Wednesday and a string of shows will be performed at the Siri Fort Auditorium.

Fever Entertainment partnered with Australia-based production house Just Because its Children (JBC), to bring the event to an Indian audience for the first time.

Engrossing and mesmerising, the show had famous characters from Rudyard Kipling's novel coming alive on the stage. Spectacular music, grand sets and loads of interactivity with the audience heightened the excitement.

The artists behind the show took five months to prepare the play for Indian market, says the show director Allen Jenner.

"Putting together the show took three months, but yes, we are actually being in creative process for past five months. The entire sound track, storyline and costume designing happened in Australia. In India, we produced the sets," Jenner told IANS.

He found the positive response to the show overwhelming.

"I am quite overwhelmed with the reaction of the kids. They were engaged with the show and they also enjoyed the musical numbers that were performed on the stage. They had fun exploring the jungle, so the reaction was very good," he added.

Interestingly, school kids were cheering and singing "Chaddi pehen ke phool khila hai" while waiting for the show to start.

Children from schools like GD Goenka, Delhi Public School, Sachdeva Public School, Manav Rachna, Venkateshwara International, Anandram Jaipuria were enjoying the classical rivalry between Mowgli and Sherkhan and the strong bond between Moguli and Baloo.

It is a must for every kid.

The tickets can be bought online at www.bookmyshow.com and the price starts from Rs.600.
