Innocent becomes MP

Actor Innocent made a sparkling debut on the political front by winning the Chalakkudy Parliament constituency in the 2014 Loksabha election. He defeated rival Congress candidate PC Chacko by a margin of 13,884 votes. The result of 2014 general election was declared today. Innocent contested as an independent candidate with LDF support.

His father was a politician with pro communist stand. At present Innocent is the president of AMMA which is the association of Malayalam movie artists. As the president of AMMA he has already proved that he is an excellent organizer. Therefore, politics and organizational activities are not something new to Innocent.

Now Innocent is shooting for Johny Antony’s film ‘Bhaiyya Bhaiyya’. The movie stars Kunchacko Boban and Biju Menon in the lead roles. National award winners Salim Kumar and Suraj are also seen in prominent roles in ‘Bhaiyya Bhaiyya’.

Johny Antony joins scenarist Benny P Nayarambalam for the first time in this movie which deals with the true life of Bengali workers in Kerala. Laisamma Pottur is the producer. Vinod Illampilly wields the camera for the movie.
