'Indian 2' goes on floors on Jan. 18

‘Indian 2’, the sequel to 1996 blockbuster Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Indian’, will start rolling on January 18. Earlier, the makers had announced the date of commencing the shooting as of December 2018.

Like the prequel, Shankar will also helm this film, which has Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles. The first look poster of the movie was unveiled by the filmmaker through his social media page on ‘Pongal’ day.

Nedumudi Venu, who played the CBI officer in the original, has been retained for the sequel. The movie will have music by Anirudh Ravichander. It’s produced by Lyca Productions. Ravi Varman has been roped in for cinematography. The film’s dialogues will be penned by writer Jayamohan, lyricist Kabilan Vairamuthu and Lakshmi Saravanakumar.
