Ilayaraja visits Bala at Tanjore

We had reported how the heroine Varalakshmi of Tharai Thappattai went to the extent of breaking her collar bones to complete what was expected in a sequence which had incidentally made director Bala gift her a gold chain and a watch.

As per the latest reports, Ilayaraja who has composed the music in the film which also happens to be his 1000th film had visited the shooting spot of Tharai Thappattai yesterday, the 4th of February at Tanjore. Director Bala had arranged a grand musical reception to the maestro with original tharai thappattai group playing the favorite tunes of Raja and welcoming him.

Ilayaraja had apparently enjoyed his time and also interacted with the cast and crew of the film. The film about Karagattam, Oyilattam and other traditional art forms has Chezhian wielding the camera and Sasikumar and Varalakshmi playing the leads. Click the Movie button below for more info:
