Ilayaraja and Yuvan unite for Maamanithan

Music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja has donned the hat of a producer with his maiden film titled Pyar Prema Kadhal, starring Harish Kalyan and Raiza. Directed by Ilan this film has music composed by Yuvan himself. Being shot at rapid pace this film of romantic ingredients is all set for a summer release.

Following this, Yuvan under his YSR productions, announced his second project with the most happening Vijay Sethupathi and director Seenu Ramasamy. Titled Maamanithan this film is said to be filled with emotion and drama. The film has now got a major boost with the arrival of Maestro Ilayaraja in the arena as a music director.

“In this day when the great man has been conferred Padma Vibhushan by the Government of India, we are glad to announce the inclusion of the maestro in our project. The title "Maamanithan" gets a meaning now. Beyond being his son I attach a lot of pride in being his fan too. I have learnt the art of music from him, privileged enough to learn it from him as his son. Now as a producer my heart is filled with joy having him on board. The very thought of co-composing with him and my brother Karthik Raja makes my journey of being a music director more meaningful and purposeful", says Yuvan Shankar Raja with joy.
