Ilaiyaraja refuses to charge Mysskin

The latest buzz in the industry is that music maestro Ilaiyaraja has refused to take remuneration from director Mysskin for composing music.

Ilaiyaraja has recently composed music for director Mysskin’s Onaayum Aattukuttiyum. Though the film has received much critical appreciation it did not fare well at the box-office. This irked the director and he thought that it was the lack of publicity for the film that was responsible for the debacle. Hence, Mysskin took it upon himself to market the film and publicise it in Tamil Nadu.

The music maestro came to know about the plight of the director and refused take remuneration for the film. But on the insistence of the director Ilaiyaraja took the money for his technicians. Now the director, who is already in awe of the maestro and his music, cannot not stop raving about his generosity too.
