I thought I was getting fired, Director Rajesh

Director Rajesh M Selva who is one of the fortunate ones to make his directorial debut with Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s film Thoongavanam is a very happy man.

When asked about how he got this opportunity, he says, “I am with Raaj Kamal Films International for a very long time and have been associated with all their films in different capacities. I have participated in the story discussion and the script development of this film like any other film that is coming from their stable. On the particular day, Kamal sir was screaming at someone in the room and I was called in. I thought I had done some mistake and was getting fired. He just said in the same loud tone that I am the director of Thoongavanam. I just nodded and took his blessings and walked out. The total feel sank in only later”.
