Fear of failure went off after 'Baar Baar Dekho': Sidharth Malhotra
Nov 14, 2016 Nivedita"I am not scared of failure at all. My fear of failure actually went off when my film 'Baar Baar Dekho' got released. It has made me far more daring and understanding about the business better," Sidharth told IANS during a KiwiRail scenic journey at Christchurch that is considered as one of the world's famous scenic journeys in New Zealand.
The actor, who is also the brand ambassador of Tourism New Zealand, says he wants to fail trying new stuff rather than opting for same old stuff.
"If I had to, I would rather be not accepted in zone which is completely new or the film which is completely new, because if you fail doing typical stuff then you are more in trouble so I think that's the upside.
"But that being said, it's a learning. If you go through down, you come up. So, I am not really scared, as you see both the extremes. It's just the understanding and also it's not possible to have clean records anyways in this industry," he said.
Sidharth started his career with 2012 film "Student of the Year" -- where he played a simple college boy who was passionate towards his dreams. He later went on showing his acting skills in films like "Ek Villain" and "Brothers".
The 31-year-old says that he never plans things.
"I never planned that. There is something that happens organically in a way with the choices you make. You might go wrong sometimes, you might get right sometimes," he said.
Sidharth is "currently shooting an action film with Jacqueline (Fernandez) which we don't have title so far, but will be very soon".
"We shot in various locations -- Miami, Thailand and Goa. And after that I am going to do the adaptation of old Hindi film 'Itefaq' which is murder mystery. Murder mystery as a zoner is coming back again. We don't see any murder mystery coming back...So, far these are the things which are locked," he said.
Siddharth is currently in New Zealand, and he is enjoying his time away from hustle bustle back home in best way possible.
He not only enjoyed some delicacies at Spanish restaurant Curators House, situated in the picturesque Botanic Gardens, but also swam with New Zealand's native Hector's dolphins with Black Cat Cruises.
The actor plans to take his association ahead with the country by planning to shoot a romantic track here.
"Every angle here is so pretty, the light is amazing at times. This place deserves a romantic track for sure and it's definitely in the pipeline, so let's see if it works out then I will be coming here and shooting," he said. Click the Movie button below for more info:
