'Brave' wins best animated film Golden Globe

Los Angeles, Jan 14 (IANS) "Brave", directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, bagged the best animation film trophy at the 70th Golden Globe awards.
The film tells the tale of brave Princess Merida, who defies a custom and ends up bringing chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida relies on her bravery and her archery skills to undo the beastly curse and save her kingdom.
The film pipped "Frankenweenie", "Rise of the Guardians", "Hotel Transylvania" and "Wreck-It Ralph" to walk away with the winner's trophy at the star-studded ceremony held here Sunday night.
