DoP PG Muthaiah to direct Vijayakanth's son in Madura Veeran

Looks like it’s the season of cinematographers turning to direction. The latest to join the list is DoP PG Muthaiah who is known for his camera work in films like Poo, Kandein Kaadhalai and Chandi Veeran to name a few. He recently turned producer with films like Raja Mandhiri, Maraindhirundhu Paarkum Marumam Enna and Peechaankai, he will now be making his debut as a director for a film titled Madura Veeran.

Madura Veeran will have Captain Vijayakanth’s son Shanmugapandian as the lead. This will be his 3rd film after Sagaptham and Tamizhan Endru Sol (yet to be released).

About the film, Muthaiah says, “I had a few mass action oriented village scripts and I decided to direct one of them. Samuthirakani plays an important role in the film. I would also like to state that Madura Veeran is not about the caste issues but it will talk about an important social issue. We are in the process of finalizing the rest of the cast members and would begin shooting from May”. Click the Movie button below for more info:
