Director Mahendran in Balaji Tharaneetharan's Seethakkadhi

Vijay Sethupathi’s landmark film will be Seethakkadhi which gets the significant status because it is the talented actor’s 25th film. This is directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan who gave the actor the big break in Nadvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom which enjoys the cult status even today.

The film is produced by Passion Studios who earlier bankrolled the comedy caper Kappal and also the current Nibunan directed by Arun Vaidyanathan.

In Seethakkadhi, Vijay Sethupathi will reportedly play a performing artists role, something on the lines of a stage artist. There are no heroines in the film but only cameos played by Gayathrie, Oviya and Remya Nambeesan. Director J Mahendran who last made his baddie appearance in Theri, will play a significant role in Seethakkadhi too. The film began with a Pooja and expected to complete soon.
