Director Ahamed on the changes in Manithan

Director Ahmed’s last film was Endrendrum Punnagai in 2013 and he is busy completing the Tamil remake of Hindi Jolly LLB titled Manithan. Udhayanidhi Stalin plays the lead with Hansika as his on-screen pair. Prakash Raj and Radha Ravi play important roles in the film.

On his film Ahmed tells that they are in the final stages of completing and that the film has shaped up really well. He also admits that he has changed the original script to suit the sensibilities of Tamil audience.

He elaborates, “In the Hindi version, you wouldn’t know where the hero stays. In my film, you know that the hero stays in Mannadi. We put up a huge set in Mohan Studios to make it look like Mannadi. It required quite a bit of effort as scores of artists were needed. Another important modification is the heroine’s role. In Jolly LLB, the heroine appears in only a few scenes.
