Actress Deepika Padukone’s new film ‘Chhapaak’ in which the actress plays the role of an acid attack survivor went on floors on Monday. “A character that will stay with me forever...#Malti Shoot begins today!,” Deepika tweeted.
She also shared her first look from the film. Deepika plays acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal in the film, directed by Meghna Gulzar. Laxmi was thrown acid when she was still in school.
It also stars Vikrant Massey as Padukone’s partner. The film is jointly produced by Meghna and Deepika. The flick is scheduled to release on January 10, 2020.
