Harshvardhana is debuting as a director with the Tamil film China. He had learnt the ropes of direction with AR Murugadoss and has worked with him in Thuppakki and Ezhaam Arivu. His debut film China will have Chennai Burma Bazaar as its core premise.


The film will have Kalaiyarasan in the lead supported by newcomer heroine Ritu Varma. Yog Jappi, Daniel Balaji and Kaththi Rama round out the supporting cast. Ved Shankar of Nadula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom fame is the music composer.


About China, Harshvardhana says, “It is a suspense thriller and the story revolves around a boy who has a store in Burma Bazaar. He is struggling to make ends meet and also has a girlfriend who he wants to impress.
