Court reserves order in Lingaa case

It may be recalled that one Mr Ravi Rathinam had filed a petition in the Madurai bench of Madras High court claiming that the makers of Rajinikanth starrer Lingaa had stolen his story Mullaivanam 999 which he had uploaded in Youtube.

Filing his counter affidavit, director K S Ravikumar had said that the story of Lingaa is written by Ponkumaran while he is responsible for doing the screenplay, dialogues and direction and that Ravi Rathinam’s statements are totally false. Rajinikanth had also filed his counter affidavit to Ravi Rathinam echoing the same thing.

Hearing the arguments on both the sides, Justice M Venugopal had reserved his order and deferred his judgment. Meanwhile Lingaa is all set to release on the 12th of December which is superstar’s birthday. Lingaa has Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty as lady leads and A R Rahman has composed music.
