Chandi Veeran banned in Singapore

Chandi Veeran produced by Bala’s B Studios is directed by Sargunam of Kalavani and Vaagai Sooda Vaa fame. The film features Atharvaa Murali and Kayal Anandhi in leads supported by Malayalam actor Lal and Ashwin Raja in supporting cast. The film has PG Muthiah’s camera work and Arunagiri’s songs with Sabesh Murali scoring the background music.

The film was released last week on the 7th of August to fairly positive reviews and it was appreciated for tackling a very important social cause, which is that of water issue.

Meanwhile it is reported that the film is banned in Singapore because it talks about the canning punishments sentence (Rota) which are being practiced for illegal immigrants.
