Cameos by five directors in friendship drama 'Tubelight'

Chennai, May 28 (IANS) Five popular Kannada directors will make cameo appearances in upcoming Kannada film "Tubelight". Director B.S. Venugopal says he is honoured that he got a chance to direct them in the film, which is nearing completion.

"Directors Shashank, Guruprasad, Jagadish, Vijayalakshmi and V. Manohar will make special appearances in my film. It was a privilege directing them because usually we meet at public gatherings. But it was nice of them to come together and work," Venugopal told IANS.

"Tubelighta", which is Venugopal's directorial debut, is about friendship and it features four actors and seven actresses.

"It's a friendship story at heart. I can't reveal more because then it will lose its essence. Most of the film is shot during a road trip in places such as Ladakh," he said.

Gurunandan, Ajay Raaj, Aryan and Rajendra play the male leads, while Anushree, Brazilian model Ereca, Sahana Gowda, Archana Singh, Jaisheela, Sushma and Gamya Bidappa essay the female leads.
