Mumbai, March 14 (IANS) Actor Ram Kapoor took everyone by surprise at the premiere of "Mere Dad Ki Maruti" by dancing on Harlem Shake, a popular dance form.

Harlem Shake originated in Harlem, a neighbourhood within the northern section of the New York City borough of Manhattan, in the 1980s. It is also a song by electronic musician Baauer. People break into an impromptu jig as part of the trend.

The premiere was held at the Yash Raj Studios and guests were surprised to see portly Ram's performance, which was well-planned in advanced.

Soon the audience joined the turbaned actor, who plays Saqib Saleem's father in the comedy.

Set in the backdrop of Punjabi wedding in a family in Chandigarh, the story is about what happens after Saqib's character loses his father's car.

Directed by Ashima Chibber, the movie hits theatres Friday.
