No discipline at film premiers, rues Ranjeet
Jun 13, 2013 IANSRecalling those days, Ranjeet said: "These days you don't feel like going for premieres. Before the film starts, a party starts and everyone is drinking, there is no discipline. I don't like that kind of premieres."
He was speaking Wednesday at the music launch of "Love In Bombay", late actor Joy Mukherjee's unreleased 1974 film. Joy's sons Sujoy and Monojoy and his wife Neelam are releasing the film now.
In those days, premieres were a serious affair, says Ranjeet.
"In my time, we used to watch the film, the star cast was invited on stage. We used to go for other actors' films as well and not just ours. Premiere was a serious thing then and we used to thoroughly enjoy it," he said.
Seen in films like "Laawaris" and "Namak Halal", Ranjeet's last outing was "Shootout at Wadala."
