Nawazuddin's Marathi dialogues in 'Bombay Talkies' subtitled

"There are many instances in the film where Nawaz's character speaks in Marathi, so all those lines will have subtitles in English for people who do not understand the regional language," Banerjee told IANS.
"Bombay Talkies", a congregation of four short films by Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar, is in celebration of 100 years of Indian cinema. Since the film will have a nationwide release, Banerjee felt it was best to give subtitles to Nawazuddin's dialogues.
Meanwhile Nawazuddin admits the film helped him learn a new language.
"I have learnt a new language. Approximately 40 percent of my dialogues are in Marathi. I attended a special workshop to learn the language and be able to deliver my dialogues perfectly. It was quite challenging, so I hope people appreciate the effort we have put into making this a special film," he said.
In the film he plays a role who is resident of Lalbaug.
"Bombay Talkies" will release May 3.
