'Love In Bombay' will be nostalgic for everyone: Arbaaz Khan
Jun 13, 2013 IANSJoy had wielded the megaphone for "Love In Bombay" that stars Waheeda Rehman as a cool city girl, while Zeenat Aman plays a vamp. Joy's character is inspired by funny Australian movie "Crocodile Dundee". It also features late legendary singer Kishore Kumar, who had also sung "Maaza naam Ganpat Rao" for the film.
"Love In Bombay" could not get released then and Joy's sons - Sujoy and Monojoy and his wife Neelam - have now decided to bring it out.
"For him (Joy Mukherjee), this is a kind of success... it will be like watching the nostalgic films of that time," Arbaaz, a filmmaker and actor, said at the music launch of the film here.
"It will be great, very nice and they (Sujoy and Monojoy) have achieved what they wanted to... it's just a tribute to their father," added Arbaaz who is confident about Kishore Kumar's number in the movie.
"When Kishore Kumarji's song 'Maaza naam Ganpat Rao' will release, I am quite certain that it will be popular," he said.
Sujoy, Monojoy and Neelam were present at the film's music launch.
Sujoy said they haven't changed anything in the film. "Technically, we have not changed anything, just did a colour correction. It was made in colour only, but we have made it look better."
"We have improved the sound a bit and have left the film as it is," he added.
"First 'Love in Simla', then 'Love In Tokyo' and now 'Love In Bombay', so it's a hattrick and he would be happy about it," Sujoy said.
