Mumbai, April 12 (IANS) He had two releases in 2010 and after that Aditya Roy Kapur disappeared from the big screen. The actor says he was not looking for solo leads, but something exciting and is happy that he waited for the right projects to come his way.

His next film is Mohit Suri-directed romantic saga "Aashiqui 2", his first film as a solo hero. It'll see him romancing Shraddha Kapoor on the big screen when it hits theatres on April 26.

After that he will be seen in Dharma Productions' "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", set for a May 31 screening. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the romantic drama brings together Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone together in a film after five years.

"It has been a while. I wasn't looking for solo leads. I was looking for something, which excited me," Aditya told IANS.

"I did not find anything, which I was happy about. Till I read 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' and then 'Aashiqui 2' came my way. So till then, I lived my life, met my friends, played football, I felt bad... normal human emotions, but I was happy that I waited," he added.

His last two releases were "Action Replayy" and "Guzaarish". Both came in 2010 and bombed at the box office.

Talking about offers that he received after these two duds, Aditya said: "The offers were good and some people thought I should have done it. But I am a little stubborn that ways. I didn't want to do them because I didn't believe in them."

But does he regret not taking them up?

"I don't regret it at all," said the actor who does have a few more projects in the pipeline.

"Nothing has been confirmed and I hope not to take few years to decide (on these)," he said.

Talking about his experience while shooting for "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", Aditya said he got along well with Ranbir and enjoyed shooting on outdoor locations as well.

"It was great. We got along together well. We had so much fun," said Aditya.

"We travelled as well. We went to Manali and Rajasthan to shoot the film. Outdoors are a good thing as you don't go home. Every one is working and all in the same place, so we really bonded as a cast," he added.
