'Angry Indian Goddesses' not about male-bashing: Pan Nalin
Oct 15, 2015 IANS"This film is not at all about male-bashing. There are many men if you see the film, there is a love story and there is an appreciation of women and celebration of womanhood. There can be few girls who can come together and have a good time and if 7-8 of them come together, they'll obviously talk about issues," said Nalin at the trailer launch of the film here.
"You talk to any woman or girl in India and within 10-15 minutes you'll know about certain issues they're facing or that they have some angst or they are upset," he added.
The film is reportedly set to release on November 12 along with Salman Khan starrer "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".
When asked about the clash, Nalin said: "I think without risk, there has never been any transformation historically. If we have to, we will fight it all the way."
"We've been fighting, in terms of the way we've made the movie. Raising the funds was a big fight, to release it was a big fight, to take it around the world was a big fight. More than 30 countries have acquired the film, that again was a big fight," he added.
"Angry Indian Goddesses" follows the stories of seven girls. It narrates the tale of how Frieda, essayed by actress Sarah-Jane Dias, invites her closest girlfriends to Goa to announce her wedding, and it all turns into a wild bachelorette party.
The film is an emotional roller coaster ride which unfolds characters amidst fun, chaos and a series of complications that follow - driving the seven girls to the edge as they transform into 'angry Indian goddesses'.
The all-out female buddy film boasts of a line-up that includes Sandhya Mridul, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Anushka Manchanda, Amrit Maghera, Rajshri Deshpande and Pavleen Gujral. Click the Movie button below for more info:
