With Thaana Serndha Koottam receiving good appreciation, Suriya has moved onto his next project under the direction of Selvaraghavan. The film, as yet untitled and is going by Suriya 36, went on floors from January beginning.

The latest news is that the team has built massive sets resembling the temple region and the residential areas of Ambasamudram for the next schedule in Chennai. Reports suggest that three crore has been spent on the sets and a crew of around 200 workers has worked on it under the supervision of the film’s art director, Vijaimurugan. Selvarghavan has reportedly decided to opt for the sets considering the practical difficulties of shooting with a large crowd of junior artistes in real locations.

The film has Rakul Preet and Sai Pallavi, pairing up with Suriya for the first time. Having completed the first schedule recently, the team has planned to shoot a crucial portion of the film on the sets for 20 days. The film is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.
