Ajith asked me to do negative roles, says Arun Vijay

Arun Vijay’s essaying of the villainous Victor in Gautham Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal had brought the actor a lot of name and fame and the actor is basking in the new found sunshine.

Although Arun Vijay has been in the industry for a long time, success somehow eluded this talented actor. His acting caliber came to the fore in Magizh Thirumeni’s Thadayara Thakka where he was the protagonist. But in Gautham Menon’s film, he played the antagonist.

When questioned on this, Arun Vijay says,

“Ajith was the one who encouraged me to take up the role of a baddie. He said that the film Vaali where he played a negative role fetched him fame and hence asked me also to try such role.
