Aditya Roy Kapur's Kashmiri connection in 'Fitoor'
Nov 13, 2015 IANSThe casting team took various auditions in Mumbai as well as Delhi but when they came across this boy in Kashmir, they felt he was the perfect fit for the role, read a statement.
The boy, Mohammed Abrar, bears stark resemblance to Aditya in his traits, and seemed to be a perfect fit for the role.
The spokesperson of the film confirmed the news and added: "Lots of auditions were done before Mohammed Abrar was finalised to play the role of younger Aditya. The team was very happy with this casting as he fits the role very well."
Abrar was given proper training before they started shoot with him. He suited the role completely and he even bonded very well on the sets with Aditya.
Apart from him, there are a few other people from the support cast as well whose casting was done in Kashmir.
Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, "Fitoor" brings Aditya and Katrina Kaif together for the first time on the silver screen.
The film is said to be an adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel "Great Expectations". It hit a roadblock due to budget issues, but is back on track. It is slated to release early next year. Click the Movie button below for more info:
