Aadhav Kannadhasan, grandson of the legendary poet Kannadasan made his Kollywood debut with Ponmalai Pozhudhu. He has recently wrapped up the first schedule of his next film a thriller, with a tentative title Pagal. This film is being directed by debutant Ezhil Barathy.

Talking about his role in the film, Aadhav says, "This is an out-and-out rural-based subject, which has been shot extensively in Madurai and Theni. We have completed the first schedule and we will go to Madurai again to can a major stunt sequence. When I was offered this rustic role many in the crew apparently told the director that I wouldn't be apt for a village-based story. But I worked hard and I took training lessons to fit into the skin of my character."

Aadhav also adds that the director asked him to see Vetri Maaran’s Aadukalam to get the lingo right and he had watched the film so many times. He says, “I worked on my look and grew beard and hair. I used to go to the director's office in lungi to get used to it. I also had to talk with Madurai localites everyday to get to know the Madurai slang for my role” Click the Movie button below for more info:
