'If I had known about Pooram, I would have shown it in Anniyan'

‘Oru Kadhai Sollattuma’ is directed by Prasad Prabhakar, starring the Oscar Award Winning sound designer Resul Pookutty as the lead actor. The music of the movie is done by Rahul Raj and the lyrics are penned by the legendary Vairamuthu. Slated to be released in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi, the movie’s audio launch took place in Chennai with A R Rahman and director Shankar as the chief guests. The teaser of the movie was released by Vairamuthu.

Director Shankar said, “Though I have seen only the photos of Pooram festival, when Resul explained me the magnitude of the event I was amazed. The Pooram Event comprises of over a million people, 300 artists and 3 hours musical feast. If I had known about Pooram before, I would have shown in ‘Anniyan’. Resul has recorded the sounds of Pooram live. This is a historic event. Not just confined to the studio, Resul makes all effort to go outside also and record all the sounds and give it to the audience”.

Actors Lizzi, Rohini, Revathi, Kushbu, Shobana, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Kanika, Sarathkumar, director Bhagyaraj, Nasser, director K S Ravikumar, editor Antony, producer Praveen Gokulan, Peruvanam Kuttan Maarar attended the audio launch.
