'I like Ajith, Suriya, Dhanush and Arya'

Kappal is directed by debutant Karthik G Girish who took his direction lessons from Shankar. But what makes this film very different from films of other debutants is that director Shankar, after seeing the film was so impressed that he agreed to release it under his production banner S Pictures. The music of the film is scored by Natarajan Shankaran and the audio launch was attended by Vijay, Vikram and a host of other hot celebrities.

The film stars Poonam Bajwa, a Punjabi import to Tamil film industry as female lead and Vaibhav as hero with Karunkaran, VTV Ganesh in the supporting cast.

Talking about her Tamil film experience, Poonam Bajwa says, “I had lots of funs hooting for Kappal. Although I had language issues, my co-artists were so helpful and supportive.” On director Shankar, Poonam says she is a huge fan of the director and that she is proud to be part of his film.
